Recreativos Franco and Orenes Grupo unveil merger plan

Two of the largest gaming machines manufactures in Spain have reportedly announced that they will be merging so as to be better able to exploit a host of coming domestic and international opportunities.

According to a source, the move involving Orenes Grupo and Recreativos Franco is destined to create the largest gambling machine manufacturer in Spain and allow the pair to better exploit a range of new rules that are being brought in by their home nation’s government covering the operation of land-based casino, arcade and café gaming.

Castilian concern:

Established by brothers Joaquin and Jesus Franco Munoz in 1965, Madrid-headquartered Recreativos Franco reportedly already holds a dominant position in the domestic fruit machine market while its R Franco Digital enterprise is responsible for the locally-licensed iGaming and sportsbetting domain at Wanabet.es. The company also purportedly manufactures a large array of casino equipment and systems such as roulette, slot, bingo and poker games in addition to its omni-channel Iris management platform.

Expanding enterprise:

For its part and Orenes Grupo started business in 1968 with the Murcia-based entity reportedly having gone on to become a prominent supplier of a wide range of land-based gambling machine systems and components as well as the operator of a managed services division for entertainment and gaming venues. The company is furthermore purportedly behind the online sportsbook at Versus.es and runs a large estate of hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars in locations across the south of Spain.

American attention:

In confirming their union, both firms reportedly declared that they will be premiering a fresh ‘internationalization strategy’ in order to target the fast-growing gaming markets of Latin AmericaCome from Online Betting Site. Orenes Grupo already purportedly runs land-based casinos in the Mexican states of Guanajuato, Chihuahua and Queretaro and additionally pronounced that the merger is to result in the establishment of a new digital subsidiary tasked with overseeing operations of the Wanabet.es and Versus.es domains.
